Is there a way to keep the home button from turning on the screen when it's off? I usually put my phone in my pocket top down so when I go to put it in my pocket or take it out my finger usually hits the home button which turns on the screen.

That sort of thing is baked into the ROM. You would have to flash a custom ROM to possibly get rid of that or turn it off.

Sorry. Some cases are pretty good at preventing accidental home button presses.

Yeah its not the end of the world I'll get used to it. I have admit I thought I would like hardware buttons more than software but it hasn't quite won me over yet though the extra screen space is nice.
