I was able to find the auto correct option on my S4, but when going through the same steps that one option (Auto replacement) does not appear on the wife's S4 mini.

    Can anyone suggest anything?

The Galaxy S4 Mini has auto-correct. Try going to keyboard settings perhaps that will fix it.

Are you trying to turn it on or off? If you want it on and it's working, I wouldn't worry about it

    It's currently off.

I have gone through all the keyboard settings I can find. I could not find the "Auto Replacement" option on the mini.

There is a Predictive Text option, but i have not seen any auto correct or auto replace. I have had the S4 mini only about one month, but i have worked thru the 170+ page manual [which you can download from the Samsung website] along with the phone three times and i do not recall seeing this.

I do recall turning off an option somewhere, but i do not recall where. It had to do with stuff that i typed being stored on a server and then being used to help predict what i might want or be about to type. It might have been an app or a widget.

It sounds to me like you might be looking for a spell checker, which would be an app or a widget. Might that be what you have on the S4?

Yup, this sounds like an option on a keyboard app. They offer to keep track of your habits to help them predict words for you once they learn certain patterns
