Having to reboot phone to connect to WiFi

Everytime I move away from WiFi signal in the house I have to reboot the phone to reconnect. When I search for WiFi under settings it doesn't find a signal, yet when I reboot the phone it connects immediately. Can anyone help please?

A very useful piece of advice, I would follow it, if I come across that situation. For the moment, I`m using my S4 mini at work, the same wifi network, the same signal as usual
