new to android

hello im new to the adroid os. im usually a bbry user. so i have an s4 mini and would like to update it to the latest operating system available for it. im assuming that would be 4.4.4 kit kat. ive tried checking for updates but it says i have the latest update. is there anyway to load the 4.4.4. ive got no problem losing apps and saved data. any help would be greatly aprreciated.

Well i updated mine manually, just had a devoted wifi to tap from after wich it concluded the rest stage
I use a s4 mini dual sim
