How can I disable earphones on a samsung galaxy s4 mini?

For some reason my phone has the earphone symbol on and I cant receive or make calls.. How do I take it off earphones

Welcome to Android Central! Inspect the jack carefully to see if there's any debris in there. Use a can of compressed air to blow it out, or a damp toothpick to root around. If it looks clean, then the jack itself may be faulty, and you'll have to bring it to a repair shop.
