So I have my VZW galaxy S4 rooted. Yesterday my phone downloaded the OTA update (I don't know what OTA it was). I obviously want to skip this update to keep root. I am on Build Number JDQ39.I545VRUAME7. I tried to freeze FWUpgrade.apk and SDM.apk via Titanium Backup, but I couldn't find them in the TiBu Backup/Restore screen. I was looking for this because of this thread
here. I am running the stock rom.
Has anyone seen this before? I know that I want to skip all OTA updates, but I wonder if that means that I will loose out on all the latest and greatest features as updates occur. Or will some helpful developer come along with the contents of the this and future OTA's, but in a package that will not break root? Would these be considered custom ROM's? I have never messed with custom ROM's, I just root for a few apps that use the root permission.
On a side note, if only the developers of LBE Privacy Guard to work on the S4, that would be great.
Thank you all.
