I have a Sprint Galaxy S4. I would like to root it so I can use wifi tethering without subscribing to a hotspot plan through Sprint. There are so many different links that I'm not sure which, if any, apply to my phone. I'm not concerned about the warranty, but I do want everything to work post rooting it. Can someone provide me with a link that is known to work with my phone... Or is anyone in the OKC area and wants to make a little money by doing it for me Any help would be appreciated.

    Software version: L720VPUFNG2
    Hardware version: L720. 08
    Model number: SPH-L720
    Android version: 4.4.2
    Baseband version: L720VPUFNG2
    Build number: KOT49H.L720VPUFNG2
Security version software: MDF v1.0 Release 2

    1) Rooting voids the warranty. Period.

    2) See the Sprint S4 section of the XDA forums. (If your kernel is dated earlier than June 3, 2014, Towel Root will root it.)

My kernel is dated 9 July. I'm trying to read through the XDA forums now, but haven't seem any specific to NG2

Curious as to what route you went to root your phone.
