Cannot root Samsung Galaxy S4 SGH-i537

I have tried several rooting apps and I cannot root my phone. I tried TowelRoot, KingRoot, Geohot, and others yet I can't root my phone at all.

Look for guide-root-i537-att-firmware-t3019364 on xda-developers. At the begining of the day I had the same version as you. I followed the instructions and successfully rooted it and even went ahead and installed a rooted Lollipop version.

You basically have to use odin to flash a rootable kernel, then apply towel root's exploit then flash back the stock kernel.
