Android Central Question

Hi all,

I need to update my Galaxy S4 19505 (I know it's old but I like this model) to the latest Android OS. It's currently running 4.2 with CWM. The bootloader is of course unlocked. The problem: the usb port in the phone is busted so I can't use ODIN. Chainfire's Flashfire seems to have been discontinued. Is there any way I can perform this update while retaining ROOT which has a rather high rate of success?

Thanks for any advice, help you can offer in advance.

No, you'll need the USB port to start.

Then you'll have to flash either LineageOS or the stock Samsung ROM. Then root (Magisk may work).

Thanks for the reply Rukbat. Damn, there really is no way to do this without a functioning USB. I am screwed.
