What it lacks in build it more than makes up for in internals. Seems to be the entire theme for this phone.

It better -- there's 25% more digitizer and screen. Super AMOLED HD isn't cheap.

Apple also over charges for what you get, so they make a lot more money off of their users.

Grossly overcharges. Mac's with the same specs as a PC will usually cost you several hundred bucks more than the PC.

I agree, that is why when I sold my old MBP 2 months ago I got a new HP 17.3" Laptop, dual 750GB HDD, Optical Blu-Ray Drive with DVD R/RW, 16GB RAM I7 Processor, etc, and it was $1500 you can't even get anything like that from Apple or anything close to it. If you could it would be double that price.

Samsung uses their own products for the most part. So a big part of the cost becomes an income for another branch of their own company.

One of my many reasons for only using PC's.

That is funny, and exactly why when I sold my MBP I got a new HP laptop, didn't want Win8 necessarily but to get it the way I WANTED IT it came with Win8. Here is the run down.

    Product Features
    Genuine Windows 8 64; 3rd generation Intel Core i7-3630QM Processor (2.4GHz, 6MB L3 Cache)
    1.5TB Total Disk Space (750GB 7200 rpm SSD HYBRID Hard Drive plus 750GB 7200RPM Hard Drive); 16GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM (2 Dimm)
17.3-inch diagonal Full HD Anti-glare LED-backlit display (1920 x 1080), Blu-ray player and SuperMulti DVD burner; 9 Cell Extended Life Battery
2GB GDDR5 NVIDIA(R) GeForce GT 650M Graphics; Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230 and Bluetooth; Intel Wireless Display Support
Backlit Keyboard; Beats Audio & HP Triple Bass Reflex Subwoofer; Fingerprint Reader; 3 SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Ports; 2 Year HP Warranty

What did this cost $1475, you cannot get a Mac remotely configured this way, you can't get it with a Blu-Ray Drive, you have to pick the memory up front since its now soldered to the motherboard along with the battery being glued to the chassis (that is so green for the enviroment) a HD 1920x1080 display which is awesome full keyboard including number keypad and biometric fingerprint reader for security (I actually use it and have a crazy password set up for it).

The 15" MBP stops at 8GB (supposed to be able to get 16GB but not an option on the website)I did choose the 2.7Ghz processor (2.3 i7 is $450 less), 750GB single HDD, no Blu-Ray Drive and this all includes a 1 year warranty for $2599, so if I was willing to get a slightly faster, lower memory, lower HDD, no Blu-Ray and pay $1100 more I could get a shiny nice MBP with Aluminum vs Plastic and Metal Chassis. Sign me up, NOT!
