I've been playing with the Galaxy S4 and the HTC One. Both are strong, but have different strengths. I think that still image quality out of the S4 is better, but video is better from the HTC One, thanks to its optical image stabilization.

There are some amazing pictures in this thread already! I'm so glad I decided to pick up the GS4 today. I'm hoping I have a chance to take some pics in the next couple of days so I can add my contribution.

Try shooting video with the camera(s) on a tripod or beanbag. Pan slowly. But I agree with optical stabilization being better than digital stabilization.

I shot this little Green Anole on my deck 5 minutes ago. The closeup shot is taken from roughly 12" away on full digital zoom, both on the auto mode and unmodified. I think it's colors look awesome, at least on my GS4 screen!
