Email client not updating regularly

Hey guys, so I'm curious if any one else notices that they aren't recieving emails when they should be coming in. The only way I can tell that they aren't coming in when received is that my ipad will chime for a newly received email and then 15 minutes or so later my S4 will chime. Any one else having this problem or have any suggestions? Any help appreciated

If you're using stock it's not push email so the setting to check it the most often is 15 minutes. If you want push email try aquamail
