I got this message when sending a message to my wife on her iPhone. Just trying to figure out why.

The message was "94? seriously?"

I'm thinking it has to do with the degree symbol

That would be my guess as well. Like when I have friends with iphones who text me emoticons and I can' tsee them.

That's weird, Android has supported the new emojis for quite some time now... Maybe try installing a different font (I know those do display on the notification tray when getting the notification, they're just modified to look like little android robot smileys).

As for the message, try checking your SMS settings for the format it sends them in, that might be it. Also, WHY USE SMS?!! Your wife has an iPhone, you have an Android... both smartphones... I'm guessing you both have data plans (otherwise getting a smartphone is half-wasted)... Go with IM!! She can install Google Talk, or you could both use Whatsapp
