What's it gonna take for Apple to get u guys(as well as others) to get these now android converts back?

Bigger screen and revamped iOS. I just jumped after 3 years with an iPhone because things started getting stale and I wanted a bigger screen/better battery life. If the iPhone 6 or 7 give me a bigger screen with the revamped iOS I'll easily go back. The software is still smoother than Androids and I enjoy having everything integrated with my iPad and MacBook. Love my RAZR Maxx HD for now though

I constantly switch back and forth between android and iPhone. I've had every iPhone since the first one and I love the ios experience. It's so smooth, at the same time do boring. Android offers more features but if Apple had a phone with at least a 5 inch 1080p display, id go back in a heart beat. One thing I can't stand about every single android phone I've owned is the typing experience. I make so many mistakes typing on Android phones it makes me not want to text or type. On my iPhone there were no delays. Just a smooth experience all around. I miss alot of aspects about my iPhone. I'm not knocking Android but I do wish the overall Android experience was as smooth as ios.

5 to 6.5 inch screen, no bezel at all, quad core Snapdragon 800 processor, adreno 320 or better GPU, clocked at 2.1 ghz, 4gb RAM, NFC, 5400mAH battery, less than 7mm thick, lightest phone ever, made out of unscratchable, undentable, etc. materials, unbreakable/uncrackable/unsmudgeable screen, 13 ultra pixel camera, Android 4.3, no physical buttons anywhere near it, standard micro USB port, HDMI port and able to record and display three dimensional holographic images/video.
    So it's impossible?

so you have a beef more with software over the hardware?

I switch between the iPhone 5 and the S4/Other android devices almost every other day or so because I find it fun to remind myself what each gains and each lacks. I love how fluid the experience is on an iPhone, sh*t just works. On the S4 and other android devices I just love to tinker and find new ways of making the phone "perfect"
Two things above all else keep me going back to the S4, screen size and swype to type. I feel like I am going back to a typewriter when I go back to the iPhone, it's taken me about 6 months but I can now say the learning curve was worth it. If iOS adopted swype and larger screen I'd still switch back and forth but far less.

If the iphone 6 (or whatever it'll be called) comes with a 4.5"-5" 1080 screen and a MAJOR makeover with ios then I'd more than happy to give apple a chance again but for now, no thanks.

Oh good point, I want either 256 or 512 GB on board storage and no SD card; include code that instantly bricks SD cards.

I just switched to the S4 after almost 2 years with an iPhone 4S. I loved my iphone, but the battery issues and a non responsive keyboard were becoming an issue with my phone. Also lack of storage and the screen was too small for me. I think the iphone is a great phone, but I wanted a bigger screen and more storage. Also the ability to change batteries is appealing. I think it just depends on one's needs. I do think the iPhone needs a big revamp to stay competitive though. It has stayed the same for a long time. But again, that is fine for a lot of people.

Before Jelly Bean & Nova Launcher Prime I kept going back but now I'm done. I had the iPhone 5 for two weeks before I sold it.

This was posted here, sorry I can't remember who but if iOS 7 is anything like this I will go back. That's the beauty of having two Super Phones. LOL

One of my best friends, and one of the most loyal Apple lover I have ever known, jyst gave up his iPhone for a S4 on Saturday. I have been trying to switch him over to Android since the S3 came out but he is a professional DJ and lives in iTunes. He finally snapped and made the switch. He just keeps texting and calling me telling me he can't believe how much he has been held back by his apple. He does keep saying that it will take some time to learn all the new options but he is amazed by all the stuff he can do easier on the S4.

Maybe it shouldn't be like this out of the box. Why should I have to put a launcher on it to fix Samsung's short comings?
Because one company can't make something everyone will like.. Look at sense for HTC.. Some people love it.. Some hate it. Just like TouchWiz for Samsung. That's the beauty of android though... Options.

I'm a longtime Apple fan and actually work for a company as a Mac rep (computers, iPads, and iPods only - no phones). I've had an iPhone since the 3gs version came out. My most recent iPhone was a 4s, and when it came time for my upgrade, I checked to see if there were any rumors that Apple was planning on a bigger screen. I found the screen to be too small for my aging eyes, so made the leap to the S4 a few weeks ago. If Apple ever does make a bigger phone, I might go back as I miss the ability to sync my phone so simply with my other Apple devices. With that being said, there are two key features that I just love about the S4 - 1. the ability to call via wifi. I love that as soon as I walk in the door at home or work, wifi calling kicks in with no intervention by me. I have, however, discovered a bug - when going from wifi to cellular, I have to reboot the phone, otherwise I frequently cannot sent or receive calls. 2. I love the fact that the app icon gives you a list of app in alphabetical order! Much better than scrolling through page after page, or going to the "search" screen to locate an app.

There is a bit of a learning curve, but so far I'm satisfied!

Each platform has advantages and disadvantages. It's nice to have choices. Use the one that works best FOR YOU.

But I agree with those that say Apple needs to do more than continue making minor tweaks to iOS, adding features that, in many cases, Android already offers. The Android OS, by design, is capable of things that iOS, by design, simply can't do. Greater ease of use will only keep non-fanboy people in the iPhone camp for so long. I think iOS is due for a major overhaul if Apple wants to stay at (or get back to) the leading edge of mobile tech.

Well I switched from my iPhone 5 to N4 to S4 and back to both my N4 and iPhone 5.
Yeah I think I'm about to do this. I still haven't been able to stick with one because I miss the features of the other. Both have very strong points as well as weak. So instead of me just keep recycling the latest device, I think I may be better off getting both so I ca easily swap them and also have the benefit of seeing how the software will come along. Still thinking....

I switched from the iphone 4s and so far the samsung hasn't lived up to my expectations. I wasn't a 'typcal' user of the iphone, mine was jailbroken and I had everything customized to how I like.

I siwtched for the larger screen and in that regard the screen has been AMAZING. Otherwise, android is simply the same **** but different. WAY worse in some regards but better in others. This isnt 2008, with a simple jailbreak and root, both phones are completely open to customization. In fact, I would say that the iphone community has made it a TON easier for the average person to customize almost everything. Android (or perhaps touchwiz) has left alot to be desired. There are alot of things that my iphone did easily that android can't.

An easy example is Activator from the ios. Or for example the overall music playing experience. <sarcasm>No android, I do not need you to be my mother and require me to re-raise the volume and agree to your warning everytime I plug in my headphones.</sarcasm> Overall, the apple OS feels like a professional team made the product and seriously tested it. The android OS feels like it was made by a solo developer in his moms basement, with features just glued together a day at a time, and he just fixes the issues as people post problems on his thread.

And for all the offended android fanboys.... I am not an apple fanboy by any means. I hate apple and what they stand for. In fact, I couldn't wait to get away from their products, as soon as I found something I thought would better fit my needs. But after my experience.... If it wasn't for the screen I would ditch this phone in a second. It's been over 3 weeks since I got it and I'm still trying to scour the corners of the internet to find apps and tweaks that could give me the seamelss expereince that I'm used to.
