Good Play Store "has stopped"

Hi,

I keep getting the message that the google play store has stopped, basically it's crashing.
I googled it and it says to clear the cache/stored data and force stop. Then reboot the phone.

Tried that and nothing. Others suggest to restore the whole phone but I'd rather not do that, is there any fix around this?

Fixed it.
Goto app manager, all, look for the android icon "downloads" and enable it.
