How to set up S4 - Transferred upgrade

I am to get my S4 today. My question is what is the process of activating my phone. The scenario is this: I have Iphone 5, wife has Iphone 4 which is eligible for the upgrade. I will be transferring my number to the S4, her number to Iphone 5 and retire Iphone 4. Seems rather complicated and seems like I will be on the phone with Verizon today trying to figure it out. Any help?
