I asked this in general, but perhaps it's better suited here:

I just downloaded this app, and I noticed that in the notification bar, the little droid is only green when I have wifi, data, or bluetooth on. Is the app only saving battery while those are on? Anyone else have experience with this app to tell me? Also, is there an even better app than this, perhaps one that uses less CPU and RAM? And that can actually SHOW me it's working? I'm really going by number of downloads in Play, which isn't always the best indication of a good app. It's really just for emergencies, because I don't really need a battery saver, but it's good to have one just in case.

Also, for other users of this app, if I do keep it, the highest I can get it to save on the notification screen is 1.6x. I use the advanced customizable setting. Are there optimal settings to increase that number? Thank you so much!

    Hi,

    I use this https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...51bGwsMSwyLDNd

and have also bought the Ultimate version https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...1hdGVqdWljZSJd

However, I'm currently using this, https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...mFnb24uYXBwIl0.

I'm giving it a go for a week as it 'learns', JD gave me nearly 2 days of average use before I installed this Snapdragon app.

    Hope that helps

The best way to save your battery is not to buy any app that uses the battery! I do not believe that any battery optimization app is needed on any Jelly Bean phones.
There are lots of threads on how to save battery and they include things like lowering screen brightness, turn off wifi and bluetooth when not using them, increasing the amount of time that apps update (i.e. weather, email, etc). You should be able to get a full day out of your device (unless you are in a poor reception area) without using any app to help.

You can go an extra 20%+ with the right app. I have added over an hour with snapdragon battery guru alone. This app is written by the same guys that make our processor. Try it because it works very well.

I don't have the patience to wait for Snapdragon to "learn", and apparently the increase isn't too huge. Maybe I'll just uninstall this booster app I have, meh. Oh well. I guess phones this advanced don't really actually need one.

If the Snapdragon one actually works, I'll use it.

Well, on average, before I installed the app, I got like 63-65 hours of usage out of the phone. So really, it's a "just in case" app more than anything.
