I can't get this to work. I have it enabled and I tried it with both hands, going fast, going slow etc. It won't take a screenshot. Have you had success with this feature?

Most of the other gestures work just fine.

I have no problem swiping to get a screenshot... Your palm needs to touch the screen, though (unless you have it cranked up to high-sensitivity, then it'll work a few millimeters above the screen).

I got it to work once out of 4-5 tries. To find it, you can go to Motions and gestures -> Palm motion ->Capture screen.

On the screen you want to capture, place the edge of your palm along one edge of the screen (lengthwise, position your hand like you are making a karate chop) and swipe your palm edge across the width of the screen (maintaining your hand in the vertical "chop" position and maintaining it in contact with the screen). You can do this either left to right or right to left, doesn't matter. If successful, you will capture the screen and your default gallery app will appear asking whether you want to keep or discard the capture. I find it finicky and prefer to just use the simultaneous power + home button press method to screen capture.

Just remember, this is NOT an Air gesture... you HAVE to touch the screen.

Okay. But if you touch the screen, what is going to prevent your phone from executing a touch action? I tried this on one of my home screens, and it just switched the screen...

That's why I don't bother and use the physical buttons which are very responsive and relatively foolproof. Its a gimmick.

It is the same palm swipe feature the GS3 had. I've never had issues with either working nor have I ever had to screen responds to the touch. I'm guessing since you are making a large contact point it 'senses' the gesture and doesn't activate anything. Note that if you have the palm swipe motion enabled the power/home button capture doesn't seem to work.

Note that on my Sprint S4 power/home works even if I have palm swipe motion enabled. Just sayin'.
