No MMS Notification

I can't seem to find a thread for this, if there is one I apologize...

I was playing around with my cousin's s4 and she was telling me she has a problem with MMS notifications...she doesn't receive the notification. When she opens up her messages it shows there's a new MMS but the phone doesn't alert her to tell her she received the MMS. this only happens with MMS, she receives alerts for emails, sms, etc. Has anyone heard of this or know of a solution?

Happens on my S4 as well. I'm not sure how to fix it.
