For all happy owners of the S4 who believe Gorilla Glass 3 can withstand heaven and hell, take this bad boy to the beach and see for yourself. Looks like my baby got in a fight with a mountain lion. Luckily I was using my Spigen Ultra Crystal protector <3 So I highly recommend using screen protectors for all you naked phone enthusiasts.

How do you know it wasn't the screen protector that got scratched. My guess is that's what happened.

Sand + glass is always a bad combination no matter the strength of the glass.

Yeah I have to agree I like going naked on my s4 and my one but I put a spigen glasstr on both of them and love these things talk about the most awesome scree protection in the world you can't even tell it's on being real glass the feel is great and clarity is unbeatable non of that orange peel or cloudy look and install is so easy my first time and not a single bubble on either phone you lay it on and watch the magic it practically installs itself now I feel protected plus one benefit of the s4 is when I get rid of it I'll order a new back and remove the screen protector and it'll look like new

sent from my favorite phone of the year HTC one, don't mean it has to be yours

It was the screen protector but I'm guessing it would have just gone through with the screen as well

That is true but I barely used it on the sand I would just put it in my pocket which I didn't even think it had sand and boom

Yup, screen protectors are required; even on today's scratch resistant screens.

I never believe in any of these claims, which why I will ALWAYS use screen protectors. I also try to buy ones that less than $10.

3rd day I had my phone it fell off a 3 ft table, only put a little knick in the glass but the next day it spiderwebbed all across the screen. Definitely got one after that
