Helloo!! I had this problem too! With my s2, s4zoom and now Note3, it's really annoying!

Problem Solved! After i remove 3rd apps (bellman) in my phone.

i used to install this app (bellman) in my previous Galaxy Phone, and finally i know what is causing the stock music / video player to pause randomly!!!

So people, try this method, find out which 3rd app is affecting your stock music player. And say bye bye to annoying Auto-Music-Pause! Cheers :)

How do I know what my 3rd apps are

Welcome to Android Central! wangyeou was referring to third party apps -- i.e., apps that you installed, not ones that came preinstalled on the phone.

I solved this problem on my A3 2016 by pressing the home screan and just clearing all the open apps and files e.t.c one click and hey presto. Did my nut in for ages but actually simple. Give it a go. Mustv been all that porn again.

If you're still having this problem, thehicks is absolutely correct. Have you noticed that this problem only occurs when you are moving and not so much when you are laying in bed in one position? There are apps and settings that in an attempt to save cell data try and connect to wifi constantly. If you use Xfinity hotspots and have saved alot of local networks, as you're moving around your phone will switch networks which will pause your audio. I had this happen and realized that I had set an app for my cell service to agressively connect to know or open networks, once I shut it off this stopped happening.

Which app did you turn off? This issue makes it impossible to listen to anything while driving because the sound keeps pausing. I've uninstalled a bunch of apps, turned off power saving and some location services, and tried many other settings, but it still happens.

I got my phone (Samsung Galaxy Sky) in April and it worked fine until late May. Then the issue started. It's definitely related to switching networks. I had another issue where the sound would stop every five minutes, but I think that was related to scanning by Wifi Analyzer or Wifi Prioritizer.

Somehow I solved the problem on my s5. I went to app manager and disabled a ton of apps. Google text to speech, 's voice, bloom, and other cr4pware. Then I went to audible and messed with notification settings and some other settings. Presto, problem was fixed. Sorry, cant remember the exact proccess. But that outlined it pretty well. I did notice, while i was still having the problem, that a notification was attempting to show in motification bar, but it kept diappearing and reappearing. Hope this helps

For me it was Xfinity Connect. I should have known from the start, but I didn't want to remove it. I finally got fed up with podcasts freezing. At times it was random, every few minutes. Other times it was every 5 minutes exactly. After deleting Xfinity Connect, I haven't had the problem for several days.

So listen, I was having this issue for like a month and a half. Come to find out, it was the smallest and most simplest thing to fix. Turns out that the issue was with the headphones. I replaced them and it is no longer happening. Essentially, it was just a short in the cord, so it would get to a certain angle where it would not register it being plugged in, which will pause whatever it is you are streaming. Hope this helps.

I have a ZTE pro max phone, and my music was lagging. I got very upset and figured it out. If you have a sd card this will work for you. Step one go to file manager, then find your SD card files, then find music.

Select all files for sd card music. MOVE files to phone. Once you do this now go back to your normal music player it should play but some songs will say a error. Now go to order music alphabetically. You will notice a-z those are fine. The ones before it that are listed as 0-17 etc, write those songs down on a paper then go back to your computer and export those songs. Then before coping and transferring delete the 0-17 etc songs on your phone. Good luck, that was my problem and everything works good.

Solved: at least in my case

I am having a really annoying problem with my s4. I hope it is a setting ( i am a newbie to the android world).
This problem is not app specific , so i am thinking it has to be a system setting??

the problem is while listening to a podcast, pandora, rhaposdy or audible app , randomly the device pauses. I have to go back to the device and press the play and it continues. It is really annoying It has happened in my pant pocket, on my desk and while driving in my car.

Any help/ideas would really be appreciated.

Randy :(

Every app I tried to listen to, audible, YouTube, podcasts, etc., Would pause every other second. I used the developer options to view running apps and closed one by one, then would hit play. The only app that I would close that resulted in no more pausing was the chrome browser app. After stopping it's services, all was smooth sailing!
