I337 is the AT&T variant, while I337M is the Canadian (Virgin, Rogers, Bell, etc.) variant.

The differences are the frequencies that the phones use. I'm in the same situation as you and am considering the T-mobile version of ths Samsung Galaxy s4(M919). From what I understand most versions of the I337's are software handicapped so that they are more restricted to using only the GSM frequencies. They can be rooted and the roms modified though with a T-mobile rom, if I understand correctly, to allow it to receive the AWS frequencies that the M919's use (also known as LTE band 4 AWS 1700/2100Mhz). T-mobile uses this as one of their frequencies, but this the main one for Wind Mobile and Mobilicity. The M919's that you can buy from Wind & Mobilicity can work on the big carriers GSM frequencies, but are either hardware or software handicapped so that they might not be able to take advantage of the high speed data frequency used for LTE (2600Mhz or LTE band 7). They would be able to use the big providers main voice and data frequencies up to 3G (850Mhz & 1900Mhz). This is why I will probably be seeking out a T-mobile version of the M919 which is unlocked to receive all of these frequencies from what I understand. That way if you start using Wind or Mobilicity and then move to a city that doesn't have their coverage, you could switch to any of the other providers and be able to receive the high-speed data signal (LTE or 2600Mhz) as well, not just the regular voice and data frequencies (850 & 1900Mhz).
