Should I root my new Galaxy s4?

I just purchased my galaxy s4.. It has been unlocked and set up for straightalk(yay $50 a month unlimited everything including mobile hotspot).

However there are things that annoy me about this new phone.
1. When playing music, it starts a song but stops once the song is over. Whats up with that? Shouldnt it go through my entire playlist?

2. Bloatware... I dont want all this tmobile and google play and other crap on my phone, its just annoying.

3. My phone wont play mp4 video files I add to it?


Those are really the 2 most annoying things.
I was told "Root it". But my concerns are
Will I lose S Voice/Air Gesture and the other "gadgets" that come with the phone?
Will my APN settings and other settings go byebye? I dont want to have to unlock my phone again.. Nor have to set up the apn.


If I could just get rid of the bloatware I would be happy with this phone as is. Is there ANY way to do that without rooting?

Any info or suggestions welcome.

You don't lose anything by rooting. You remove what you want.
