Text messaging help please!

I have a new Galaxy S4 and was buzzing along fine until yesterday. I can receive text messages but an getting a message failed error when I try to send one. I took out the battery (twice just in case) and found the application area and cleared data (one of the messages I read here said to try that but the battery reinstall worked for that person). Any ideas?

What network? Anyone else in the same area as you with the same network and having the issue? Try a PRL update to see if it helps.

It is Verizon. I don't know if other folks are having the same issues. Not sure what a preferred roaming list is - I'll go google it.

Should be able to go to your settings, then system update, then hit update PRL. It will pull the latest one from the tower.

It may be a tower issue especially if it's only happening today.

I had the same problem this morning and a restart solved the problem. I forgot about the PRL update.
