Any way around this annoying aspect of Messaging?

So when I'm texting someone, every time i type and send a text message it brings me back to the very top of the conversation. I have to scroll all the way down to the bottom where the latest messages are. Anyone else experienced this issue? Super annoying.

Hmm, you're right. It only seems to happen in landscape. This still sucks a lot though because i primarily text in landscape. It also does this thing where after sending a text, it just opens up another text field for me again instead of just showing the conversation.

Is this a known bug?
