I have an S3 on ATT and was curious how much better the S4 hardware is relative to my S3.

    Just curious.
    Thx

The s3 has a 720p display. And a dual core CPU.

S4 1080p display and quad core.

But if you have a s3 I would stick with it. I have a s3 and I am holding out for the s5

    I probably will.

I haven't yet priced what an S3 is worth and how much an S4 costs.

    thx

If you're talking about Cpu wise then yes, whole lots. My htc evo lte studdered a lot where the S4's S4 600 barely any hiccups.

Gave my S3 to my wifey, and I have a S4. Screen res is noticeable. The CPU...not so much unless you are gaming. But, I do really like the S4. I couldn't hold out for the S5...how much better could it be over the S4? Seems the new devices aren't that far apart anymore.

I had the S3 and the S4 is way better... On my S3 my keyboard would freeze up when typing, would freeze and lag, and now with this phone my keyboard never freezes, and the colors are waaaaay better.... Definitely worth the upgrade

Glad everyone is enjoying the S4.

I'm having what appears to be a hardware problem (intermittent garbled audio, "pixel-ated" audio, and sometime a skreeching un-intelligible audio) so I called ATT.

They offered a refurbed S3 under warranty.

I inquired about perhaps an early upgrade.

They offered me $200 to get a re-furbed S4 with a new 2 year contract, or $450 for a new S4 with a 2 year contract. Needless to say, I opted for the refurbed S3.
