Hi All,

Just got a brand new S4 yesterday. I seem to be having problems charging with the wall charger.
When plugged into the wall charger, it does not seem to sense it.
But I can charge the phone with the computer with no problem.

Anyone have a solution to this? :(

Thanks

If it's new take it back and get another one

Are you using a USB cable with a removable USB wall charger block? If so, then perhaps the charger block is faulty. Try swapping it with another charger block, using the same USB cable.

I dont have a receipt for the phone, it was a gift

I have tried using the same charger to charge my note 2 and it works .. its just not charging the s4

So are the USB cable and charging block separate? I assume you're saying that if you use the same cable and charging block with your Note 2, it works. You've tried the same wall outlets for both devices? Just want to make sure it isn't a problem with the outlet.

Are the cable and charging block the original ones that came brand new with the S4, or were they separate and possibly from a 3rd party manufacturer? Not all chargers work universally.

Both block and usb are brand new original samsung chargers from the box...I used the same block n usb to charge the note2 n s4 n only works for the note2

However I can use the same usb to charge the s4 on my computer n it seems to working fine there

Ya I tried with different wall outlets too all are working for the note 2 but none are working for the s4 ...I was only able to charge the s4 with the wall charger on the first day only

My S4 did the same thing. It stopped recognizing the factory wall charger. Although my girlfriend's S4 would still charge off my charger just fine. I could only charge mine on the computer. I never found a solution or explanation for the problem. I took it back to Verizon and had it replaced under warranty.

hi all

I called the Samsung hotline today and explained the situation to them, they are allowing me to bring this to their service center for repairs
Hope this will permanently solve the problem!:-*
