Have the same problem. Called Vodafone and they told me it is a known problem and that Samsung is working on an update. It will happen to all S4s sooner or later and therefore there is no point in exchanging the phone under warranty. It has to do with the LTE, they claimed, and suggested I kill the LTE mode and deactivate the SIM card PIN. I did that but it doesn't help.

In short, I am left with a phone that shuts off after a couple of minutes use and will not restart until connected to the mains. Samsung had better get this one fixed quick or they could go the way of Blackberry

Have you guys changed batteries? Generally if your phone won't stay on unless plugged in (connected to the mains?), the battery is faulty.
