I have a fairly random question I believe on how apps are downloaded to the phone from the Play Store. some apps will download directly on to my home screen while others will only download to my app drawer and not automatically place themselves on my home screen. is this normal do some apps not automatically get download it on to the home screen?

if so is there a way to make sure that all apps i download from the Play Store are automatically placed on my home screen,??

It's on the settings... If your home screen is full, no short cut is made. If no, a short cut is placed.

    It's the auto-add widgets thing.

First icon is Internet Speed Meter. It tells me my download speed, so I know the speed my connection is working.

Second icon is Tapatalk 4. Notifies me if I've been quoted or replied to in forum threads I'm subscribed to.

Third and fourth is SLK Notifications. It gives me faster/instant notifications from Facebook, especially with chats. I was irritated before that my Windows 8 Messages app notified me of new messages minutes before Facebook Messenger on Android did. Not anymore.

Next is Gmail telling me I have a new message.

Lastly is tTorrent Pro, which is a good torrent app for searching and torrenting files on your phone, even straight to the SD Card.

    Hope that helps.

    P. S. All are paid apps from Google Play Store except Gmail which is a default app pre-loaded in our phones anyway.

There used to be a public beta for Tapatalk 4. I joined and was satisfied with the app so when it was no longer working, I bought it.

If I remember correctly, only tTorrent has a free version with limited options and/or ads support.

I have so many apps because I've been in an app frenzy lately. A lot of Google Play Store's paid apps are really worth it.

Ive got the same issue with apps from the Play Store. Most go on my home screens, but some I have to look up in my apps area. Kind of annoying.
To LadyHaly: how good is that Internet Speed Test? Ive been looking for something like that.

Er, it's a speed meter... So basically it just tells you how your current download speed is second by second. I reckon it's pretty good. I keep it around because my network is unstable. It's also nice to know how much data I'm consuming. I have no limits with my bandwidth though as I am subscribed to an unlimited data plan.

    You're welcome. ^_^
