Jelly Bean 4.3 not allowing primary number setting?

okay I got this new galaxy s4 and then I downloaded the jelly bean 4.3 version of android for my device, well now it won't allow me to set any numbers as primary numbers. Is anyone else out there having the same problem As I am, and if so do you know any solutions to it. Thank you everyone very much.

Go into contacts then click the person name and hit menu button it should say mark as default then choose the number.
