I have an html file with links to pdf files, and I've just downloaded these to my S4 SD card.
When I open the html file and try to link to a pdf file on (a) my PC, the pdf file opens in another window in my browser. On (b) my previous (and pretty old) Android device, the pdf file would open in Documents to Go.
However on (c) my S4 (in either the default browser or Chrome):
1. The pdf file gets "downloaded" (pretty useless and annoying, as its already on my SD card)
2. I then need to swipe and tap to get the pdf file to open (in a choice of either of 2 apps)--(and this only seems to work with a swipe/tap in Chrome, but in either case it's really not what I want.)
I just installed Documents to Go on my S4, but that just gives me a choice of 3 apps.
I looked at the options for both S4 browsers, but no help. Any ideas on (1) how to avoid the unneeded downloads and (2) how to get the pdf files to open via a tap within my browser? Thanks.
