Screen goes black on Galaxy S4

I have a problem (don't we all). Every now and again, my phone screen goes black and it shows the time. I think it is how SView is. The thing is, I don't have the cover and it gets irritating, especially when I'm playing a game/watching a video. The screen switches on on its own sometimes. It's more frequent on some days than others.
What's wrong with my phone and how do I fix it?

You can try disabling the auto update for the clock settings.

Maybe you can try Settings/accessories and uncheck all items under S Cover section. I know it sounds stupid but who knows

Is there any other solutions apart from the disabling of the clock?
@aymelis I tried... Doesn't work.
Anyone else having this problem?
