There are various means of downloading music. Here are some ways:

    Amazon MP3: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...com.amazon.mp3

You can buy mp3's and then download them to all of your devices. You can also stream them from the cloud.

    Spotify: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....spotify.music

You can create playlists from a huge selection of music and then download them to your phone for offline usage (requires premium).

    Google Play Music: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....android.music

The same idea as Spotify, you can download playlists for offline usage.

Welcome to Android Central! There are many paid music services available out there, including Google Play Music All Access, Spotify, and now Amazon's new service. These services typically allow you to download a song temporarily to your phone, but you usually can't freely move that track around afterwards (because then there would be a higher risk of piracy).

EDIT: Dangit, Wizzrah! You stole my thunder!

Google Play All Access is by far my favorite.
