Sometimes can't unlock

Everyone once in a while, I take the phone out and the screen is off. I press the home button or the side button to turn on the screen so that I can unlock. Unfortunately, the screen lights up just before I hit the button and I end up shutting the screen off again. I then get in some weird loop. Last night, I couldn't get the screen to turn on at all and had to pull the battery.

Any suggestions?

This happens on my older phone also. It's just a bug, try waiting a couple seconds after pressing the buttons. Easy to say but I forget all the time.

I had that but all I did was turn the phone off then on again & it worked for me.
