Why won't my S4 power up?

s4 will not power up

the USB port is damaged however if aligned properly would still charge the device had died I fully recharge the battery and attempted to turn the phone back on it wouldnt come on anymore also now it wont charge anymore could receiving power through a damaged usb port have caused some sort of short with in the phone also have you used a different battery both batteries do have power and will hold a charge. Now the phone is completely unresponsive

Welcome to Android Central! So you're saying you've tried a different battery, and it still doesn't work? It sounds like a significant hardware issue, either with the charging port/circuits, or the motherboard itself. I'd bring it to a repair shop, or contact Samsung if still under warranty.
