I have an otterbox commuter case for my phone. It dropped in water for about a second, didnt get time to completely submerge. Took it out and dried it, everything seemed to be working ok except the speaker seemed to be a bit crackly. I took the battery and SIM card out and put it in brown rice.
My question really is, do I need to keep it in rice for 24 hours for that little water? There was no water in the ports, and a drop or 2 behind the back casing near the speaker, where the case wasnt closed off.
I have to leave for a trip in the morning and I cant really afford to keep it turned off that long, nor do I know if I can take a tupperware of rice and phone with me in my luggage...
