Can I get some help updating my Samsung Galaxy S4?

AC Question

Trying to update Samsung Galaxy S4 but having problems.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-i9505 which is a 4g enabled phone. However, I don't seem to have the option to enable LTE. I have been informed that this is due to the software version of my phone which is 4.2.2 .

So I have been searching for the past few days ,even looking at the sammobile website for a new firmware for my phone. However, I cannot find the correct baseband that matches my phone. My phone is XXUAMDC baseband and every firmware I have checked does not appear to match this baseband version.

I have also tried updating my phone through the software update option on the phone itself but I keep getting a message that the phone's current firmware is upto date. I downloaded Kies for samsung and tried to find a new firmware through that but according to Kies I also have the latest firmware. Anyone know what's going on here?

Welcome to Android Central! Do you know if you have the International version? That version's LTE bands don't match the ones used by any of the major US carrier.

EDIT: I think that's your problem. I saw this thread in another forum where the user mentions that exact baseband in association with an international S4. http://androidforums.com/threads/sg4-kies-firmware-update-problem.790718/
