Download folder not recognised on Note 3

Hi guys

I woke up this morning and noticed my downloaded, and WhatsApp pictures were missing. I then noticed some of my music was missing too. Turns out all my media that was stored to my device, not the solicitor, card was missing from my music library and picture gallery. However, when I search the folders on my phone they are there. Also, downloading a new picture from the Internet, it won't show up in my gallery but I can find it in the folders.

Starting to lose faith in Samsung as this is my second phone and on each occasion something like this or worse has occurred within a year of having the phone.

Any help?

Welcome to Android Central! What do you mean by solicitor card? I assume that means SD card, and you're saying everything is downloaded to Internal Storage, not the card

Use your file manager app and look at the folder where things are being downloaded to. Is there a file called ".nomedia"? If so, delete it.

I do mean SD card, auto correct got I the way!

Any media on the storage device is not being recognised. I took a look around and good not find the nomedia file

Hey bro, thanks you for the tip. I didn't see a nomedia file but deleted a bunch of files that I did not recognise and it looks like all is good now. Many thanks again. Honestly much appreciated.

I have the same problem I can't see the downloaded stuff on my phone its there in file manager please help
