    I have a samsung galaxy s4 mini and since I got it I cannot open text messages or read them or send out because it says "unfortunately messaging has stopped"

    Welcome to Android Central! Did you get this S4 from a store, or from a friend? Did you start from a factory reset state, or did you just continue to use it in the same state that the prior owner gave it to you in? I ask because I wonder if there are any 3rd party apps that might be causing issues. Try booting into Safe Mode, which temporarily disables all 3rd party apps. Steps are at the bottom of this article: http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-5744

    If the problem disappears in Safe Mode, then something you installed is causing the problem. You may have to uninstall apps one by one until the problem disappears. If the problem persists in Safe Mode, then it's more likely to be a hardware or firmware problem.
