I brought my Verizon tendered Galaxy S4 with me to Spain (I've been here awhile) and recently got a contract that included 4G. However, my phone doesn't connect to the 4G. The tech service guy at the store said it had to do with the fact that the S4 came out before 4G was really available here, and that Spain uses a different wavelength (I'm translating technical jargon here, so take it easy on me) than the US, so it's incompatible. I was just trying to figure out if there's any way around this. I imagine that if it's a hardware problem I'd have to buy a compatible receiver and install it (if that's even possible), though that's out of my technical expertise. Or maybe there's a secondary receiver already in the phone that can somehow be switched on? Or am I just SOL? Anybody have a suggestion?
