My S4 is stuck on updating contacts and using all the space

Help please. I had a software update on my samsung s4 yesterday and since then it has been stuck on updating contacts. The contact storage app is also using almost 6GB of space and I have no space on my phone. The more I delete or remove the more space seems to be used by the contact storage please help

Welcome to Android Central! If all of your contacts are Google Contacts, then go to the App Manager, select Contact Storage, and Clear Cache/Clear Data. Then see if it syncs normally.

Another thing to try is a cache partition wipe, which can be useful after system updates: http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-5744
