Why is my Galaxy S4, running so slow?

Galaxy s4, running slow

I have had my Galaxy s4 for two years, no problems, but now, it is running slow. Is there a real problem?

I ask this having, two weeks ago done a factory reset, and reinstalled all my data, run clean master regularly, and have 4gb of free ram.

To quantify, the time taken varies, but sometimes 7 seconds are required for the app "A Better Camera" to start and be ready to take a photo.

So, is there a serious problem, is there something I can do to speed up?

Welcome to Android Central! The first thing I would suggest is to uninstall Clean Master. Apps like this typically claim to "clean" or "boost" RAM, but they way they do it can be counterproductive (i.e., by automatically closing open apps in RAM, which leads to the system just reopening them again, since that's what Android wants to do). Clean Master's developer, Cheetah Mobile, also has some questionable business practices, so we generally suggest not using it.
