Where are the settings for the update on the Samsung Galaxy S4

After the latest update the left button does not bring up the settings menu. Can someone tell me where to find that menu?

If you are on Lollipop now Samsung has move what was the settings menu button to the last apps button. typically you can see 3 vertical dots to see where the menu is on an app.

I found that to be so distracting that I moved the icon onto the home screen. I like it much better that way.

I really don't like the new version and wish I could go back to the previous one.
