    i have a sprint s4 but want to change to verizon.
    my phone works very well and i hate to throw it away just because i'm changing carrier. I'd like to continue using it on the verizon network.

    Technically yes. Actually probably not. You can ask Verizon if they'll accept the phone on their network. (It's entirely up to Verizon company policy. If they tell you it won't work, ask if they can put a Verizon SIM card in and temporarily activate the phone to check [it should work - they both use the same bands for voice, 3G and 4G].)
