Why do my gallery pictures come up blank or freeze the screen?

Gallery pictures come up blank or freeze screen.

When I go to gallery on my Samsung s4. If I open camera pictures they all come up blank Grey squares. Even though on side can see a good pic. If I open say Facebook pic get first picture then screen frezzes. Can't scroll, delete, share etc. Must turn off phone to get anything else to work. If open Google photos that are sync can only veiw maybe one out of five pic. Others blank square.

Welcome to the forums. I would try a cache clear. The easiest way to do this is go to Settings>storage. Click on the cache partition, and you will get a pop up saying that the cache will be deleted. Click OK (you won't lose anything like pictures, etc.). See if that helps.
