I've had my samsung s4 for just over a year now, everything was working fine, but then my samsung needed an update a software update, I didn't update it because it said it could last hours so I didn't bother, this morning my phone updated itself and only lasted 20mins and everything was normal until I realised that my back button (the button on the right to the home button) wasn't working if I press it nothing happens, on the other side the options button works fine it's just the back button isn't working.I've tried rebooting, restarting, taking the battery out, changed a few options and nothing works. I don't know how or why this has happened. Does someone know how to fix this ?

Try first a Cache Partition wipe.
    Tell us what that does.
