how to turn off data compression?

I enjoy my s4 a lot, but lately I noticed a lot of my images (mostly downloads and such) are compressed to the point they look ugly. I do sorts and a friend of my made some pictures with his phone. They looked very crisp and detailed, but when he sent them with Whatsapp to my phone, they were blurry and pixelated. Also some 9gag posts i downloaded were unreadable after download. I have a 32g sd card, so storage is no problem.

I would like to know how I can turn OFF compression on my samsung galaxy s4

The compression is being done on the source phone, not your destination phone.
Most social apps use compression to reduce the cost of sending large files through their services.
Some apps let the sender choose how much compression is used, but most do not offer the choice.
Ideally, the sender should be putting the picture/video on a hosting site then sending its URL to his friends.
