Wireless Charging Back Cover - Rare?

Wow... I thought I would buy the wireless back cover for my wife's S5 and hadn't realized that the after market pricing was so expensive...

On the Samsung site, it shows up as $29.99 (but not for purchase on their online store), and on Amazon it is out of stock with a price of $21.99.

But when I go out and look for places that actually have stock, it's selling for about $100.00!!! Yikes...

Even on eBay, which is usually a great place to get old smartphone accessories "on the cheap" are quite expensive...

Anyone know of an affordable source for these wireless charging covers?

I placed my order with Amazon...but it's out of stock...with no ETA on availability...

Fortunately, I won't get charged until they ship, so it was really a no-risk order... I'll cross my fingers that it gets back in stock at some point soon...

Not sure which one on Amazon you have on order as I couldn't find one for $21.99, but I found this one that says its in stock and is $29.99 with reviews as recent as yesterday...

ETA... Just like anything that is mfg today, there comes a time when said item is basically obsolete, (Samsung is already working on the S7), and some sellers out there, (especially on fleabay), take advantage of the last few items they have in stock at the end users expense...

bought the one from Amzaon. Fits well, seems like same case as orignal but with charging. Works on three different chargers I have. I tried one of the stickers and it did not work reliably. Probably my installation as I have never been good with adding stickers, not even screen protectors.

Wow this is indeed a Bummer! I thought I would still be able to use my phone but it looks like that ain't happening. My charging port no longer works so I thought I would simply get one of these wireless deals. Wrong!
What really upsets me is the fact that this phone was my favorite Android
yet for its features and abilities. I thought about having someone replace the charging port but can't get anyone to touch it without also replacing the Amoiled Screen too. Anyway if anyone has a salution to this problem like 1# someone who will repair it for a decent price or 2# (My preference)
A charging pad that doesn't cost me almost as much as the phone itself!

I just got an S5, and I've been frustrated by the options for wireless charging. I needed the watertight/dustproof design, replaceable battery, and SD card, so an S6 wasn't an option, but I really would like wireless charging.

I talked to a "Samsung Accessory Specialist," and she said "nobody [here] knows" what the status of the Samsung wireless charging cover is, but she said they had backorders from October 2015 still on the books. Since the item is still on their site, I'm hoping they're just redesigning it because of all the complaints about it being too thick.

I haven't found a wireless charging module that doesn't sound like it compromises the watertight seal on the OEM cover. The only other option I've found is the Vitahult wireless charging back cover that IKEA sells for $15, but it only comes in white.
