Is Samsung S5 able to conect to the Polar H7 without the Polar app??

I just bought the Polar H7 heartrate monitor to use with my Samsung Galaxy S5 because i was under the impression that it was compatible (saw videos and read forums about that) but my phone is not conecting with the device. It seams to detect the devise and it appaers like they are pairing all right but nothing happens after that. The H7 unit does work fine with the polar app, but if i try to connect other app like endomondo or S health it does not read the H7 signal. Any ideas? is it only my phone ( G900M )?

I have the exact same issue. It pairs with the phone and I am able to use the H7 with the Polar Beat app, however, it doesn't work with endomondo (or runtastic). In Endomondo the H7 is detected in settings but the connection fails.

Hope someone has a fix for this. So far Polar or Endomondo haven't been able to come up with one.
