I have been harassed over and over by Samsung to update my phone.
I did it about a year ago and within days that phone not only crashed but the difficulties (too many to name )were so annoying I had to get another phone.

Two weeks ago, again update update.
I contacted Samsung and explained, I don't want to update can you please stop?

They explained it wasn't something one could control,
Settings has a stop update but until you actually do one, it won't allow you to enter in the correct info. To stop them from coming.

I did the last one again and bam I get home hours later to hook chromecast up and wifi totally broke (tried everything to fix it with tech help )and right after hot spot totally not functioning.

again, Had to put in for another phone, do all the insanity in terms of setting up another one, etc etc...

Today, they are again pushing this update.
Samsung said they realize the updates do cause some functionality issues but on a whole, it helps so the updates stay.
My response...
So if you're one of the lucky ones not negatively affected you're very lucky.
They said, yeah pretty much.

Anyone know how to stop these?

Thanks

I think if you got an app called package disabler (it's on Play, I think $5), you should be able to disable Samsung's Push service. I could be wrong about the app to disable. Do you have the new update downloaded already?
